Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy in Keller, TX
1. Do you have immediate openings for therapy near Keller, TX?
Yes! Unlike many local practices with long waitlists, Hope Harbor currently has immediate openings for new clients. We understand that mental health needs are often urgent, and we prioritize getting you scheduled with a specialist in the 76248 and 76244 and surrounding areas as quickly as possible.
2. What kinds of concerns or conditions do you treat?
Our team provides specialized care for a wide range of needs, and we warmly welcome individuals as well as families. We are highly experienced in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, and complex trauma (including PTSD) using evidence-based tools like EMDR therapy. We also support clients navigating addiction recovery, life transitions, affair recovery, divorce, and parenting. Whether you are seeking individual growth, play therapy for a child (ages 5+), or support for your marriage, we provide a personalized approach to help you find lasting wellness.
3. What areas do you serve for in-person counseling?
Our physical office is conveniently located in the 76244 ZIP code, and immediately adjacent to the Keller ZIP code, 76248. So our clients are primarily from the Keller, Southlake, North Fort Worth, and the Alliance areas. For those who prefer the comfort of home, we also offer virtual therapy sessions for clients across the entire state of Texas.
4. What is the benefit of working with a "Systemically Trained" therapist?
Most of our clinical team are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). In 2026, this is a distinct advantage because LMFTs receive specialized, systemic training. This approach focuses on understanding you within the context of your relationships and environment which deeply impact your mental health. While many skilled therapists in the area work with relationships, our systemic roots offer a unique perspective that leads to deeper, long-term healing for individuals, couples, and families.
5. Can an LMFT help me if I am seeking individual therapy?
Absolutely!!! It is very common and effective for LMFTs to work with individual clients. Their systemic lens helps individuals explore how their relationships, family history, and life systems impact their personal mental health. This "big picture" view is a powerful tool for individual growth and emotional wellness. Like Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC's), LMFT's also treat individual conditions. Unlike LPC's, LMFT's are authorized under their clinical license to see multiple entities within the same family system simultaneously if indicated. For example, the same LMFT therapist might see spouses separately as individual clients.
6. Do you only provide Christian counseling?
No. We provide a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental harbor for people of all belief systems, backgrounds, and walks of life. While we do offer specialized Christian counseling for those who specifically request to integrate their faith into their journey, our clinical approach is always evidence-based and welcoming to everyone in the Keller and surrounding communities.
7. Who on your staff works with children and caregivers?
We serve clients across the lifespan. Our team includes a dedicated child specialist (LPC) who provides expert play therapy for children aged 5+, as well as systemically trained therapists (LMFT's) who specialize in complex individual and family dynamics, adolescent support, and parenting guidance.
8. How do I book my first session at Hope Harbor?
Booking is simple and designed to be stress-free. You can call or text us at (817) 201-2444 to schedule your free 15-minute consultation and see if we are the right fit for your needs. We look forward to supporting you!
